    Excellent Detail, Clarity, and Power

MartinLogan's Motion® F20 offers excellent detail, clarity, and power in a non-imposing floorstanding package.

With the incredible trifecta of the Gen2 FMT Folded Motion Tweeter, a Woven Fiberglass midrange, and dual 6.5" aluminum bass drivers, it is well equipped to take its place in any home theater or 2-channel setup. Offering more bass extension and dynamics than its smaller sibling, the Motion® F20 is the ideal sweet spot for those balancing both performance and size.

    The Motion Upgrades Start Here!

"Upgrades start with the new Gen2 Obsidian Folded Motion Tweeter, which uses larger magnets to achieve higher output while lowering distortion," observes Bob Ankosko, Sound&Vision, February 7, 2023. "The company has also redesigned the horn-like waveguide attached to the Folded Motion Tweeter, settling on the final version only after evaluating almost 50 design iterations with the goal of enhancing the consistency, dispersion, and output of the tweeter."

The Motion Series is MartinLogan's most ambitious acoustic and aesthetic development in the company's 40-year history. Motion defines elegance and performance by leveraging exclusive technologies and decades of experience. The result is a loudspeaker collection that is not just an upgrade of its predecessor, but also a whole new level of quality and excellence.

MartinLogan speakers are known for their exceptional articulation, detail, and realism, regardless of the listening environment. By using advanced thin-film technologies and Controlled Dispersion, MartinLogan delivers a unique and unparalleled listening experience that is not commonly found in other speakers.

Gen2 Obsidian Folded Motion® Tweeter and Waveguide

MartinLogan's signature thin-film tweeter technology just got better. With an upgraded motor structure, the latest Gen2 FMT provides higher output and lower distortion than ever before.

After an extensive evaluation of nearly 50 design options, the Folded Motion® Waveguide profile was meticulously chosen to harmoniously align with the dispersion of the midrange drivers, resulting in enhanced output. The waveguide guarantees consistent sound quality regardless of the listener's position and minimizes unwanted room reflections. Proper waveguide design is crucial, as it helps control the sound's dispersion pattern, ensuring that the sound is evenly distributed across the listening area and resulting in optimal sound quality.

    Woven-Fiberglass Midrange

The lightweight and strong Woven Fiberglass midrange in the Motion® series is perfectly suited for keeping pace with Motion’s Gen2 FMT. It provides crystal clear dialog and vocals, as well as lifelike instrumentals.

    Aluminum Bass Drivers

The exceptional characteristics of aluminum make it an ideal choice for bass drivers. When paired with oversized motor structures and a downward-firing port, the new Motion® speakers are extremely easy to place in any room while providing outstanding bass performance at any volume.

    F.A.S.T. Outrigger Feet

The tower models in the Motion® Series are designed with tool-less height adjustability in mind, using the included rubber feet or spikes, which enables the user to effortlessly level the speaker for optimal stability on any floor. Additionally, the built-in anti-vibration properties reduce the transfer of energy from the speaker to the floor, resulting in lower distortion and coloration, providing a more accurate and detailed sound.

    Modern Design Featuring Luxurious Finishes

The latest Motion® speakers utilize cutting-edge technology and the highest quality materials to deliver sound quality that is truly unmatched. Their sleek, sophisticated design is an artful complement to any interior.

Available in three finishes of Satin White, Walnut or Gloss Black, these speakers are an exquisite addition to any discerning individual's home. Upgrade your audio experience and enhance your space with the Motion® series.

5 Years Parts & Labor MartinLogan Warranty Information

"Upgrades start with the new Gen2 Obsidian Folded Motion Tweeter, which uses larger magnets to achieve higher output while lowering distortion. In the higher-end XT series, tweeter surface area has also been increased 40% over the previous generation. A surface area that is considerably larger than a conventional dome tweeter is one of the key performance benefits of Folded Motion technology along with the ability to react faster than a dome due to its low mass. Even MartinLogan’s standard Folded Motion Tweeter has a surface area that’s eight times larger than a conventional dome."

"The company has also redesigned the horn-like waveguide attached to the Folded Motion Tweeter, settling on the final version only after evaluating almost 50 design iterations with the goal of enhancing the consistency, dispersion, and output of the tweeter."
