Stunning Acrylic-Plinth Turntable with 9" Evo Carbon Tonearm

The 6PerspeX Balanced turntable uses a stunning transparent acrylic plinth that stands on three height-adjustable TPE-damped aluminum cones. The plinth carries the outboard motor and sub-chassis. The sub-chassis (made of Corian) rests on opposing magnets, forming a floating suspension for the record platter and tonearm. This sub-chassis suspension system staves off parasitic noise (vibration and resonance) that sometimes accompanies conventional spring suspensions.
The quiet-running AC motor unit drives the platter via the belt installed around the platter's circumference. The motor incorporates an advanced DC-driven motor control that ensures speed stability and offers electronic toggling between 33-1/3 rpm and 45 rpm.
Resonance-Optimized 'Sandwich' Platter
The resonance-optimized platter is a sandwich construction utilizing a precision-machined MDF plate coated with 4mm-thick, flat-ground recycled vinyl. A screw-down clamp and threaded spindle take the notion of record coupling to the next level. The platter bearing is Pro-Ject's best design, utilizing a stainless steel spindle topped with a ceramic ball. An inverted bronze bushing embedded in the underside of the platter rotates silently and smoothly.
High End 9" CC Carbon Tonearm
The 6PerspeX Balanced turntable features Pro-Ject's high end 9" CC carbon tonearm with a massive bearing construction. It uses an inverted cardanic ABEC 7 quality bearing with four stainless steel tips. This bearing type is very stable and low friction, which guarantees a clear tracking. The headshell and armtube are fashioned from a single piece of carbon fiber. The conical armtube reduces standing wave reflections.
The solid aluminum tonearm base offer you real audiophile features. It allows you to adjust both the azimuth and the vertical tracking angle (VTA). Setting and experimenting with the VTA and Aazimuth is crucial in extracting every last bit of performance out of your cartridge.
Includes Pick it MC3 Moving Coil Cartridge
The included, factory pre-installed Pick it MC3 moving coil (MC) phono cartridge delivers powerful and dynamic sound optimized for pop and rock, but also for big orchestral classics.

Balanced and Unbalanced Connections
The Pro-Ject 6PerspeX Balanced is configured for balanced operation for the ultimate listening experience with the included MC cartridge. Upgrading to a balanced turntable like this one is no subtle upgrade and promises to redefine ‘reference’ sound quality in your turntable system.
To get to a fully balanced system, along with this turntable you will need a phono preamp with balanced phono inputs plus a balanced cable (optional, sold separately) carrying the phono signal from the 6PerspeX Balanced turntable to phono preamp.
The 6PerspeX Balanced ships with the included Connect it Phono E RCA cable (with ground) – a low-capacitance cable with superior shielding that’s optimized to carry the phono signal. This RCA/ground-to-RCA/ground phono cable offers maximum compatibility out of the box with a wide range of preamps, integrated amps, and other electronics. This type of dual single-ended RCA/ground phono cable is by far the most common connection type.
The 6PerspeX Balanced comes equipped with two phono outputs: balanced mini XLR and unbalanced RCA/ground. Balanced transmission is possible with either a mini XLR-to-mini XLR cable or with an RCA-to-mini XLR cable. Either cable would connect to the mini XLR inputs of the following three Pro-Ject phono preamps: Phono Box S3 B, Phono Box DS3 B or Tube Box DS3 B, but only the mini XLR-to-mini XLR cable (optional, sold separately) will give you a balanced connection.
Included Accessories
In addition to the included Pro-Ject Connect it Phono E RCA cable (with ground), the 6PerspeX Balanced turntable ships with supplied counterweights suitable for cartridges between 5g and 14g to accommodate your preferred cartridge. Also, a supplied spirit level allows for easy leveling of the sub-chassis and record platter. The screw-down record clamp couples your vinyl to the platter for best performance.
