Great Sounding Plug-and-Play Turntable with Built-in Phono Preamp

The E1 from Pro-Ject Audio Systems is the company's first E-series turntable, dedicated to delivering a great audio experience on a limited budget. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or an experienced vinyl fan. The E1 won't disappoint you. Handmade in Europe, it's designed to thrill.

The E1 boasts premium materials, stylish aesthetics, and a rich, lively sound. Its extensive development process has ensured that there has been no compromise in sonic performance despite its affordable price. And it's packed with must-have features for a convenient and pleasurable listening experience.

The E1 Phono model adds an internal phono preamplifier to the standard E1 version. It's perfect model for you if you don't have a phono preamplifier in your current setup and want to enjoy great sound.

    Plug-and-Play for Everyone

The E1 Phono's plug-and-play design with pre-adjusted tracking force and anti-skating by experienced Pro-Ject technicians provides you the best settings for your turntable – sparing you lengthy set-up procedures. Just sit back and enjoy your favorite records without the installation hassles of far too many turntables. You'll be enjoying your favorite LPs and 45s within minutes of opening the box.

The new E1 is available in three different versions to fit everyone's needs. The series consists of the standard E1 model, the E1 Phono model with built-in phono preamp, and the E1 BT model with Bluetooth receiver and built-in phono preamp. All three models are equipped with a 33 rpm / 45 rpm electronic speed switch for no-hassle speed change, just by flipping a switch.

    Switchable Built-in Phono Preamp

The majority of receivers and integrated amplifiers on the market lack a dedicated phono input for hooking up a turntable. They require an outboard phono preamp. The E1 Phono solves this problem for you. The built-in phono preamp makes the E1 Phono incredibly versatile and allows you to connect it directly to any input on your amplifier or to a set of powered speakers. The phono preamp can also be switched off, which allows you to use your own phono preamp or your amplifier’s phono input, if you wish.

    High-Performance Features

The E1 Phono includes high-performance features unequaled in most entry-level turntables – and beyond. The stylish CNC-machined composite fiber plinth, available in high gloss black, high gloss white, or walnut finish, is carefully manufactured to ensure maximum solidity without the hollow spaces inside which you might find on other manufacturer's turntables in this price range.

Even the E1 Phono's platter is new. The ABS polymer main platter is strengthened with purpose-designed ridges in order to create an ideal, anti-resonant platform for your vinyl. Topping the platter is an included felt mat.

Pro-Ject is known for its superior tonearms, and the E1 Phono doesn't disappoint. The lightweight and low-friction 8.6" aluminum tonearm is a gem, and it is optimized to bring out the full potential of the included high quality Ortofon OM5e cartridge. The tonearm is also versatile and will accommodate a wide range of other cartridges should you decide to upgrade later down the road.

Keep your E1 Phono looking new and performing at its best! To protect your turntable from airborne dust and dirt, Pro-Ject includes an elegant acrylic dustcover with adjustable hinges. That's a great bonus at anywhere near the E1 Phono's price, but it's standard excellence for Pro-Ject. Also included are 4-ft. phono cables and an adapter for playing 7" 45-rpm singles.

    Includes Ortofon OM5e Phono Cartridge

Pre-installed on your E1 Phono turntable is an Ortofon OM5e monving magnet (MM) phono cartridge delivering open, dynamic sound with a slight touch of warmth. It features a new, improved engine that provides an increased output of 5.5mV, an optimized sound reproduction, and a high level of sonic accuracy.

England's What Hi-fi? magazine honored the Ortofon 2M Red by naming it as one of the ten "Best Cartridges 2020." According to the article, "The midrange sounds full and expressive, especially vocals. Bass and treble also score well." Music you've heard many times takes on new dimensions with the OM5e.
