Rega just designed the perfect upgrade for the Rega Planar 1, Planar 1 Plus, or Planar 2 turntable equipped with a Carbon Cartridge.
The Carbon Pro stylus features an advanced bonded elliptical profile (compared to the conical profile of the standard Carbon Stylus) for a clearer, more dynamic, and more detailed sound presentation.
If you want a quick upgrade, or if your Carbon Cartridge stylus is worn or damaged, we strongly recommend the Carbon Pro Stylus.
Installs in Only Seconds!
There's nothing complicated or 'technical' about swapping out your Carbon stylus for the Pro. Installation takes only seconds. That's because the Carbon Pro stylus is a direct, drop-in replacement for the standard Rega Carbon stylus, requiring no cartridge removal or alignment.
No tools are needed, either. To remove the old stylus, simply hold the plastic housing with your thumb and forefinger, then pull down and towards you to release the stylus housing.
To install the new Carbon Pro, insert at a slight angle so the hook at the end of the stylus fits into the cartridge. Once in place, simply push up until you hear a ‘click’ to ensure the new stylus is correctly fitted. That's all there is to it.
