Compact, Affordable Record Cleaning Machine with Forward and Reverse CleaningPro-Ject's VC-E is a compact and very affordable record cleaning machine. But don't let its compact dimensions or highly affordable price fool you. Despite its small size and low price, the VC-E offers a lot of features, including a bi-directional motor that cleans in forward and reverse rotations. It also provides a high level of performance when it comes to thoroughly and safely cleaning your treasured vinyl records. Pro-Ject designed the VC-E to provide years of faithful service. Its durable and attractive aluminum surface can withstand excessive fluid spill without compromising the chassis. That means it will continue looking great after cleaning record upon record. "The VC-E cleaning machine is capable of transforming your average semi-clean record into a shiny thing of beauty," reports Steven Stone in The Absolute Sound magazine. "The Pro-Ject VC-E supplies the basic tool necessary to clean records efficiently and easily. For any LP lover who wants to hear every bit of potential sonic goodness from his LPs, the VC-E would be an excellent way to boost your record collection up to a cleaner state of being." "Easy to Recommend""The VC-E is easy to recommend to anyone looking for a good record cleaner that’s good-looking and should last a very long time. I’m keeping this one," notes Doug Schneider in his SoundStage! Hi-Fi review. "Want a smaller and more affordable record cleaning appliance?" asks John H. Darko at darko.audio. "The VC-E’s more compact price and diminutive aluminum chassis shrink the internal waste tank to 0.5L and swaps out the aluminum clamp for a plastic version. Crucially, the arm wand is aluminum." Darko sums up the VC-E as "a must for crate diggers!" Cleans in Forward and Reverse, Quickly and PowerfullyThe VC-E is fast and super powerful. It cleans records in as little as one or two rotations. The very best results are achieved with one rotation forward followed by one rotation backwards. It takes about two seconds per rotation, which is about three times faster than comparable cleaning machines. The result is a much quicker and more effective cleaning process, and let's face it… the less time it takes to clean your records, the more you will enjoy using the VC-E. The robust metal vacuum arm is easy to use, mechanically stable, and focuses all suction power directly onto the record surface. A clamp covers the record label while you clean your record, protecting it from getting wet from the cleaning fluid and avoiding damage. Packed with AccessoriesThe VC-E includes everything you need to start cleaning right away. It comes with a record brush, vacuum arm, self-adhesive arm strip, plastic record clamp, and a high quality detachable AC power cable. Also included is a 100 ml bottle of Wash-It, Pro-Ject's eco-friendly and non-alcoholic vinyl cleaning concentrate. Wash-It offers very good cleaning results and reduces the static electricity charge of vinyl records, so that record wear and stylus wear are significantly reduced. If you are looking for a compact and affordable record cleaning machine, look no further than Pro-Ject's VC-E. From performance to convenience features to superior build quality, it has a lot to offer today's vinyl enthusiast. Protective Plate for Optional UseThe protective plate is an accessory for the VC-E, which can be used optionally. It is included in the packaging of VC-E‘s with serial numbers 20A001675 or higher and all serial numbers starting with 20F001449 or higher. The protective plate can protect the underside of the record from warm air leaving the ventilation outlet. In regular cleaning scenarios it is not necessary to use the protective plate. However, when cleaning many records in a row (e.g., eight to ten), and under certain air conditions (warm temperature and/or high humidity), steam from the ventilation outlet can become an issue. If this is the case, place the protective plate on top of the base plate of the clamp. This way the bottom of the vinyl record is protected from the steam/moisture of the ventilation outlet and the vinyl record will stay dry. Overview
