One Box Where a Whole Rack Used to Be
Advance Paris builds the MyConnect 250 to do the job of a full separates system. A tube preamplifier stage sits behind a lit window on the front panel. It feeds a Class A/B output section rated at 190 watts per channel into 8 ohms, and 280 watts into 4 ohms.
The sources are already inside. A top-loading CD player, an FM and DAB tuner, and network streaming over Wi-Fi or Ethernet all come built in. The Advance PlayStream app reaches Spotify Connect, Qobuz, TIDAL, Deezer, and internet radio. A phono stage is fitted for turntables.
Everything You Own Already Has a Socket Here
The back panel is unusually deep for an all-in-one integrated amplifier. Balanced XLR and RCA analog inputs sit alongside three optical and three coaxial digital inputs. There is also a USB-B computer input, AES/EBU, and HDMI ARC for a television. There are subwoofer outputs and trigger sockets as well.
Three switchable speaker zones drive up to three pairs at once. Two headphone jacks, 6.35mm and 3.5mm, carry adjustable gain and impedance. The unit weighs 19 kilograms and carries a 2-year warranty.
Why There Are Tubes Behind That Window
Two ECC81 dual triodes, also sold as 12AT7, handle preamplification. Advance Paris rates them at 3,000 to 5,000 hours and makes them user-replaceable. A set change is routine maintenance, not a service visit. The window exists so you can see when they are lit.
Behind them sits a balanced dual-mono Class A/B amplifier. Each channel has its own 300VA toroidal transformer. A Hi-Bias switch extends Class A operation from the first four watts to the first nine, enough for most listening at normal volumes.
Where the Numbers Back Up the Design
The measured figures are strong for a component carrying this much inside it. Total harmonic distortion stays at or below 0.007%. Signal-to-noise measures 103dB, which is what keeps quiet passages genuinely quiet. Channel separation exceeds 75dB, and frequency response runs from 20Hz to 80kHz.
A Burr-Brown PCM1796 converter handles every digital input, including USB and AES/EBU. The phono stage covers moving-magnet, high-output moving-coil, and low-output moving-coil cartridges. Three switchable capacitance settings let you load one correctly for its type.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Craig Chase reviewed the MyConnect 250 for HomeTheaterHifi.com on January 20, 2025. He called it "an affordable, high-end, two-channel amplifier" and listed a "Beautiful chassis with blue VU meters" and "Robust construction" among its strengths.
Greg Handy reviewed it for FutureAudiophile.com on November 5, 2025. He noted the "smoothness in upper frequencies, such as cymbals and tambourines" that the tube stage brings. He also pointed to the unit's "extreme connectivity options" as a defining strength.
Both had reservations. Handy found the streaming side dated, citing AirPlay 1, no Roon support, and a closed set of services that cannot be expanded later. Chase wanted a backlit remote.
Who Is This All-In-One Amplifier Best For?
- You want one cabinet instead of five — CD, FM/DAB radio, phono, and network streaming are all built in.
- You play vinyl and change cartridges — the phono stage handles moving-magnet and both moving-coil types, with three capacitance settings.
- You want sound in more than one room — three switchable speaker zones drive up to three pairs.
- You like tubes but need real power — a tube preamp feeds a 190-watt Class A/B output section.
- If Roon and the newest streaming platforms matter to you, the MyConnect 250's streamer is a closed system that will not gain services later. The NAD M33 V2 offers BluOS, Roon Ready certification, and Dirac room correction instead.
How Does It Connect to Your System?
Run your main speakers to Zone A and add a second or third pair on B and C. A turntable goes to the phono input, where you set the cartridge type and capacitance. Balanced XLR and RCA cover other analog sources.
Digital gear has its pick of three optical inputs, three coaxial, USB-B, and AES/EBU, while HDMI ARC brings in a television. Ethernet or Wi-Fi joins the network for streaming, and subwoofer outputs are there when you want low-end reinforcement.
Then you plug in headphones and forget the rest of the rack exists.
Pairs Well With

Frequently Asked Questions
How much power does the MyConnect 250 deliver?
190 watts per channel into 8 ohms, and 280 watts per channel into 4 ohms, from a Class A/B output section.
Does it have Bluetooth built in?
Bluetooth is an option. Advance Paris makes two modules that plug into the rear Bluetooth socket, the X-FTB01 for aptX and the X-FTB02 for aptX HD.
What kind of turntable cartridge can I use?
Moving-magnet, high-output moving-coil, or low-output moving-coil. Three switchable capacitance settings let you load the cartridge correctly.
Can it run more than one pair of speakers?
Yes. Three switchable speaker zones drive up to three pairs of 8-ohm speakers. You can switch between them from the front panel or the remote.
Does the CD player handle discs I burned myself?
The top-loading transport plays standard CDs. Support for recordable and rewritable discs varies by disc and burn quality, so results are not guaranteed.
What warranty does it carry?
Advance Paris covers the MyConnect 250 with a 2-year standard warranty.
