The order matters. Enzymatic Formula goes on first to loosen and dissolve contaminants. Super Cleaner Formula follows, cleaning and degreasing the record. Ultra-Pure Water finishes the job as a rinse. Skip a step and you are not running the system as designed.

Enzymes That Target What Step One Leaves Behind

Enzymes are biological agents that break down specific substances — the same principle behind enzyme laundry products. The enzyme content in Super Cleaner Formula is chosen to attack contaminants the Enzymatic Formula does not reach.

The formula also contains a small amount of laboratory-grade isopropanol. It is there for a specific reason: it interacts with the enzymes to make them work. If you would rather not use alcohol on your records, Audio Intelligent makes the Premium Archivist Formula as an alcohol-free alternative for this same step.

Lifts Contaminants Instead of Redepositing Them

Loosening dirt is only half the job. If it settles back into the groove as the record dries, you have moved the problem rather than solved it.

Super Cleaner Formula includes components that resist reattachment and carry dissolved contaminants toward the top of the fluid layer, where they lift away cleanly — by vacuum machine or by hand. There are no detergents and no lubricants in the formula, because both leave residue that can trap dirt and affect what you hear.

Is This Right for You?

Three things to know before ordering:

• This is not a standalone cleaner. Super Cleaner Formula is designed to follow Enzymatic Formula and be followed by an Ultra-Pure Water rinse. Used on its own, you are getting a fraction of what the system does. If you want the full three-step process, order all three.
• It contains isopropanol. A small, deliberate amount. Some collectors avoid alcohol on vinyl entirely — particularly on shellac, which alcohol can damage. If that describes you, the Premium Archivist Formula fills the same step without it.
• You do not need a machine. It works with a vacuum record cleaning machine and also by hand. A machine makes the removal step faster and more thorough, but it is not a requirement.

Setup & Installation

The fluid arrives ready to use — no mixing or dilution. It comes in a high-density polyethylene bottle with a flip-spout cap, so you can control the pour.

After treating the record with Enzymatic Formula, apply Super Cleaner Formula so the playing surface is fully coated with a layer of fluid. Give the enzymes time to work — a thin, patchy application will not do much. Agitate gently with a record brush, then remove the fluid by vacuum or by hand. Finish with an Ultra-Pure Water rinse. Keep the fluid off the label, and store the bottle capped, out of sunlight and away from heat.
