Inside, an ESS Sabre ES9038Q2M DAC converts streams and files up to 24-bit/192kHz. Streaming runs on the DTS Play-Fi platform. It brings Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music, SiriusXM and internet radio through one app. AirPlay 2 covers direct streaming from Apple devices. Play-Fi also supports multi-room setups, so the 7000N Play can join speakers and streamers around the house.

The front panel stays minimal by design: no screen to date itself, just a clean aluminum face that lets the app do the work and the music do the talking.
