How many do I need?
It depends on your run lengths and how many cables you're lifting. A set of eight typically handles a stereo pair of speaker cables at reasonable intervals. If you're also lifting power cords, or your speakers are far from the amplifier, consider two sets.

Do these help if my cables are already shielded?
