AudioQuest Rocket 11 Speaker Cable - 15 Foot - BFA Bananas to BFA Bananas - Pair
What It Does in Your System
The Award Winner, in a Length That Reaches Across the Room
Rocket 11 has become one of the most recommended first "serious" speaker cables you can buy — What Hi-Fi? has handed it their Best Mid-Price Cable award multiple years running, batting off new competition each time.
This listing is a matched 15-foot pair in the full-range configuration, terminated with AudioQuest BFA bananas at both ends. Two plugs per end, one cable per speaker. Fifteen feet is the length for speakers on the far wall, a corner-mounted rack, or a run that has to go the long way around the room.
Double Spiral-Pair Geometry for Clarity Instead of Smear
A speaker cable that simply runs its conductors in parallel has fairly high inductance, which smears energy across time and leaves the sound dull and unfocused. In Rocket 11, the two conductors in each half of the cable are twisted around one another.
Inductance drops, and you'll hear it as greater clarity and better extension from the bottom of the bass right through the top of the treble. On a 15-foot run, where a lesser cable's shortcomings have more distance to accumulate, that geometry earns its keep.
Semi-Solid Conductors That Hold Their Position
In ordinary stranded cable, individual strands shift position along the length of the run, and the electrical and magnetic interaction between them compounds into audible distortion — the harshness and confusion that makes dense passages hard to follow.
AudioQuest's semi-solid concentric construction uses fewer, larger strands locked into fixed relationships down the whole cable. The metal is Long-Grain Copper, with fewer oxides, impurities, and grain boundaries than standard OFHC copper, for a smoother and clearer presentation.
Is This Right for You?
A few things to confirm before ordering:
- Measure your route, not the room. Fifteen feet covers a genuinely long run, but measure the actual path around furniture and along baseboards, and leave a little slack. Coming up short is the one problem no cable quality can solve.
- This is the full-range configuration. Two bananas at each end. If your speakers have separate bass and treble binding posts and you want to bi-wire, Rocket 11 is offered in a single bi-wire version instead.
- Your binding posts accept bananas. BFA bananas fit standard banana jacks and work with shrouded EU-style posts that won't let a spade tighten down. If any of your terminals won't take a banana, ask us about spade termination.
Setup & Installation
Insert the BFA bananas into the binding posts on your amplifier and speakers, matching positive to positive and negative to negative at both ends. Bananas seat with a firm push and hold by spring tension, so no tools are needed. Wire both channels identically before playing music, and orient each cable per the direction markings on the jacket — AudioQuest's conductors are direction-controlled, running from amplifier toward speaker.
A 15-foot run gives you plenty of routing options along baseboards, behind furniture, or under a rug edge. Rocket 11 is CL3/FT4 certified, so the same cable is rated for in-wall installation if you'd rather the run disappear entirely. Keep it clear of AC power cords where you can and cross at right angles where you can't.
Features & Specifications
Semi-Solid Concentric Conductors
Fewer, larger strands held in fixed positions sharply reduce the strand interaction that causes dynamic distortion.
Long-Grain Copper (LGC)
Fewer oxides and grain boundaries than standard OFHC copper, for a smoother and clearer sound.
Double Spiral-Pair Geometry
Twisting the conductors in each half lowers inductance for greater clarity and better bass-to-treble extension.
CL3/FT4 Certification
Rated for in-wall installation, so one cable serves both open runs and custom install.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a pair or a single cable?
This is a matched pair — two 15-foot cables, one per speaker. Everything you need to wire a stereo system is included.
Does 15 feet of cable degrade the signal?
Not meaningfully with a cable of this quality. What matters over distance is keeping resistance and inductance low, which is exactly what the Double Spiral-Pair geometry and semi-solid conductors address. Order the length your route actually needs rather than coiling excess behind the rack.
Can I bi-wire with this cable?
Rocket 11 is designed to work as either a full-range or a single bi-wire cable, but this listing is terminated for full-range use with two bananas at each end. For bi-wiring, you'll want the bi-wire termination — give us a call and we'll sort out the right version.
