Tower Is the First Step in AudioQuest's Bridges & Falls Series
AudioQuest's Tower is the least expensive analog cable the company makes. It opens the Bridges & Falls series, a family of single-ended cables that carry both channels in one slim jacket. Solid copper and AudioQuest's own cold-welded plugs arrive at the entry price.
Solid Long-Grain Copper in Foamed Insulation
The wires are solid Long-Grain Copper, which AudioQuest calls LGC. Solid wire has no strands to rub against one another, and AudioQuest names strand interaction as a major source of distortion. Each wire sits in Foamed-Polyethylene, which is mostly air, so little of the signal is stored and released late.
The Cold-Welded, Gold-Plated Plug, Explained
Tower ends in AudioQuest's own gold-plated RCA plug. It is cold welded, not soldered. A press bonds the plug to the wire under high pressure. AudioQuest calls solder "a common source of distortion." The cold weld keeps the wire's character right up to the contact.
Outside is AudioQuest's Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation, a layer that soaks up radio noise before it reaches the grounded shield. The layout is AudioQuest's Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry, which gives the ground path a lower impedance than the signal path.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Tower is listed in Stereophile’s Recommended Components for 2026, posted April 10, 2026. Stephen Mejias called the four Bridges & Falls cables "truly affordable, truly high-quality interconnects" and could "think of no better place to start than AudioQuest."
Yagiz, reviewing the RCA version for Headfonia on May 6, 2022, found that Tower "introduced a good amount of air and spaciousness" next to a generic cable.
Who Is This Interconnect Best For?
- You are replacing the cable that came in the box — Tower is solid copper with cold-welded plugs, so the first upgrade is real
- Space behind the rack is tight — one slim cable carries both channels, so it bends where a pair will not
- You want no solder in the path — AudioQuest cold welds the plug to the wire, so the joint is metal on metal
- You may move up later — every Bridges & Falls cable above Tower shares this layout, so each step is familiar
- Your left and right jacks sit far apart — both channels share one jacket here. For mono amps or a wide rack, choose the AudioQuest Red River pair instead. Or call us
How Does It Connect to Your System?
Run Tower from a line-level output, a DAC, streamer, CD player or phono stage, to a line-level input on your amplifier or preamp. Keep left to left and right to right. Push each plug straight on until it seats. Pull it off by the barrel, never by the cable.
Then listen. Other and longer lengths available. Call for prices.
Pairs Well With
An interconnect is one link in the chain. It usually joins these categories.
- Integrated Amplifiers — the usual input end
- Digital-to-Analog Converters — DAC output to amplifier
- Phono Preamplifiers — phono stage to line input
- Speaker Cables — the last link to the speakers
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cold-welded, gold-plated plug?
AudioQuest's own gold-plated RCA plug. It is joined to the wire by pressure, not solder. AudioQuest names solder as a common source of distortion.
Is this one cable or two?
One. AudioQuest's Bridges & Falls cables carry both channels inside a single jacket. There are two plugs at each end and one lead to route behind the rack.
What warranty does AudioQuest give?
A limited lifetime warranty to the original owner, for cables bought from an authorized US dealer. AudioQuest will repair or replace a defective cable that has not been abused. Keep your proof of purchase.
Is there a step up?
AudioQuest Evergreen is the next rung. It keeps the same copper and layout and adds a braided jacket. Stereophile heard gains in focus and tone color moving up the line.
