Put the Discs in Once, Then Put Them Away
The VAULT 2i does one thing no streamer does. Feed it a CD and it rips the disc to its own 2TB drive, tags it, finds the artwork, and adds it to a library you can play in any room. Then the disc goes back in its box.
You choose the format. FLAC keeps every bit of the disc, MP3 at 320kbps saves space, and WAV sits between them. A shelf of several hundred CDs becomes a library you can search instead of one you have to stand in front of.
That drive is also a network share. Other BluOS players in the house read from it directly, so the VAULT can sit in a cupboard and serve music to rooms that have no disc player at all.
A Server, a Streamer and a Source
A 32-bit, 192kHz converter handles playback, fed by a 1GHz dual-core processor. It plays FLAC, MQA, WAV and AIFF at high resolution, alongside MP3, AAC, ALAC, WMA, OGG and OPUS, from 32 to 192kHz.
BluOS brings Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Roon Ready and AirPlay 2, with Alexa control. Bluetooth works both ways with aptX HD, so the VAULT can receive from a phone or send to a wireless headphone.
Outputs are analog RCA with a fixed option, coaxial and optical digital, a subwoofer output, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 12-volt trigger. The unit is 220mm wide, 192 deep and 90 tall, and weighs 1.8kg.
Who Is This Best For?
- You have hundreds of CDs and no time — ripping happens on the box itself with tags and artwork applied automatically, so the collection moves across without a computer or a spare weekend.
- You want the discs kept bit-perfect — FLAC ripping preserves everything the CD holds, so the library is the collection rather than a compressed copy of it.
- You play music in more than one room — the 2TB drive works as a network share for other BluOS players, so one library serves the whole house.
- You have Ethernet at the rack — a wired Gigabit connection is what keeps a large library serving several rooms without a track stopping midway through.
- You want it to feed a real system — analog RCA, coaxial and optical outputs plus a subwoofer output and a trigger mean it connects to proper amplification rather than only to itself. Pair it with one of our integrated amplifiers.
How Does It Connect to Your System?
Run the analog RCA outputs to a line input on your amplifier, or take coaxial or optical to a converter if you would rather use your own. A subwoofer output is there if you need it.
Connect the Gigabit Ethernet port to your router or switch, and control everything from the BluOS app. Discs go in the front, and the ripping starts on its own.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much music will it hold?
The internal drive is 2TB, which holds several thousand CDs ripped to FLAC and a great deal more in MP3.
Which formats can it rip to?
FLAC for a bit-perfect copy, MP3 at 320kbps to save space, or WAV. You choose before ripping starts.
Can other rooms play from it?
Yes. The drive works as a network share, so other BluOS players read the library directly across the house.
How does it join the network?
Over Gigabit Ethernet, which is what keeps a large library serving several rooms at once without interruption.
What outputs does it have?
Analog RCA with a fixed option, coaxial and optical digital, a subwoofer output, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 12-volt trigger.
How big is it, and what is the warranty?
220 by 192 by 90mm and 1.8kg. One year on parts and factory workmanship, for the original purchaser, when bought from an authorized dealer. It does not transfer if the unit is sold on.
