Hear Everything in a Low-Profile 'Stealth' In-Wall Speaker

See nothing. Hear everything. That's how Bowers & Wilkins describes its CWM6-series wall mount speakers. The blue Aramid Fiber cone of the CWM652 means that the unit is well hidden behind the grille but still produces a remarkably clear and dynamic sound.

CWM6 Series in-wall speakers comprise a baffle carrying the speaker drivers and crossover, an integrated frame and front flange, and a magnetically secured grille. The frame is connected via side mounted terminals to the speaker cables, with the baffle connecting automatically as it is inserted in the frame.

The CWM652 is a true high performance in-wall speaker. The CWM652 features a 5" blue Kevlar® bass/midrange driver housed in a die-cast chassis which provides the extra rigidity to provide a cleaner, faster bass. The advanced aluminum tweeter incorporates a Nautilus™ tube to absorb unwanted sonic radiation. The CWM652 also utilizes a three-position high frequency switch to fine tune the sound. The incredibly easy-to-install frame includes QuickDogs™ and plug-and-play functionality.

Three-Position EQ Switch

A three position high frequency level switch is fitted to CWM600 series models, on the front face of the baffle. The center position of the switch gives a nominally level frequency response. The HF+ boost position can be useful where the listening environment is acoustically absorbent, for instance where carpets, soft furnishings and curtains predominate, or where the speakers are covered by curtains or wall hangings. The HF- cut position may be preferred where the listening environment is acoustically reflective, for instance where hard floors and glass predominate.
