Bryston 7B³ Monoblock Amplifier – Silver, 17-Inch Faceplate, Each
What You Need to Know
One Channel. Six Hundred Watts. Zero Compromise.
The Bryston 7B³ Monoblock Amplifier devotes an entire chassis—power supply, transformer, and all—to a single channel. The result is 600 watts into 8 ohms and 900 watts into 4 ohms of effortless, vanishingly clean Class A/B power, handcrafted in Canada and delivered with its own factory-measured test sheet in the box.
This is how Bryston builds an amplifier when nothing is shared and nothing is spared. Priced and sold individually—a stereo pair requires two.
The Patented Salomie Input Circuit
Every Cubed Series amplifier begins with the patented input circuit Bryston developed with the late Dr. Ioan Alexandru Salomie. This super-linear buffer of roughly a dozen active devices provides the first stage of gain while trapping noise and RF grunge before they ever reach the amplifier—with distortion below 0.001%.
The audible payoff: a background so quiet that low-level detail, texture, and soundstage air emerge with startling clarity.
Quad-Complementary Output Stage
Bryston’s proprietary Quad-Complementary topology uses four matched output devices per half-cycle, arranged to cancel the crossover distortion that plagues conventional Class A/B designs. The harmonic behavior mimics a pure Class A amplifier—without the heat, weight, or wasted power.
Total distortion measures at or below 0.005% at full rated output, across the entire audible band.
A Power Supply All Its Own
Unlike a stereo amplifier, the 7B³ dedicates a specially wound, high-efficiency toroidal transformer and complete power supply to its single channel. There is no sharing, no interaction, and no compromise—just instant current on demand and a damping factor over 300 for iron-fisted woofer control.
Individually Measured, Proven in Writing
Every 7B³ runs a 100-hour factory burn-in, then goes to the bench. The serial-numbered measurement sheet packed with each unit documents your amplifier’s actual performance—typically exceeding the rated 600 watts.
Handcrafted in Canada, Warrantied for 10 Years
Bryston amplifiers are legendary for surviving decades of professional studio abuse. The 7B³ is built in Ontario, Canada, in a machined and anodized aluminum enclosure, cooled entirely by convection, and backed by Bryston’s 10-year analog warranty.
Building Your System
Place one 7B³ beside each speaker for the shortest possible speaker cable runs, fed by balanced XLR from your preamp. Switchable 23/29dB gain matches any system, dual binding post pairs support bi-wiring, and trigger in/out integrates with system automation.
Partner it with Bryston’s BP-19 or BP26 preamplifier—or step up to the 28B³ when only a kilowatt will do. Remember: one 7B³ powers one channel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need two of these?
For stereo, yes—each 7B³ powers one channel and is priced individually. Monoblocks let you place each amp at its speaker and keep every watt fully independent.
How does the 7B³ compare to the 4B³?
The 4B³ delivers 300 watts per channel from a shared chassis. The 7B³ gives one channel double the power, its own dedicated transformer and supply, and complete isolation from the other channel.
How does it compare to the 28B³?
Bryston’s flagship 28B³ monoblock scales the same Cubed architecture to 1,000 watts into 8 ohms—for the largest rooms and the most demanding speakers.
Who is the 7B³ designed for?
It’s for the listener building a reference system around demanding, low-sensitivity, or large full-range speakers—anyone who wants power that never runs out and an amplifier built to outlast everything around it.
