Two Bryston Classics, One Chassis
The Bi200 combines two of Bryston's most respected designs. One is the BP-19 preamplifier. The other is the 3B power amplifier. Both now live in a single integrated chassis. The design is fully balanced from input to output. Dual-mono construction keeps the left and right channels independent, the whole way through.
Discrete circuit paths are engineered for vanishingly low distortion. They also keep the noise floor exceptionally quiet. Power output reaches 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Into 4 ohms it climbs to 300 watts per channel.
Plug In a Turntable, Six Sources, and Your Headphones
This particular Bi200 adds Bryston's optional moving-magnet phono stage. It offers 41dB of gain. Proprietary RIAA equalization is built in. A turntable connects straight to it. No separate phono preamp is needed.
Six analog sources round out the inputs. They split between balanced XLR and single-ended RCA connections. Bryston also fits what it calls its most powerful onboard headphone amplifier yet. It delivers real clarity and dynamics through cans.
No Fans, and No Fuss on Power-Up
The Bi200 is machined from aluminum. It is cooled entirely by convection. There are no fans to introduce noise. Volume runs through a digitally controlled analog circuit. A soft-start microprocessor eases power-up. RS232, Ethernet, and USB connections handle automation and remote status.
Handmade in Canada
Every Bi200 is hand-built in Peterborough, Ontario. That is Bryston's own factory. Each one is tested extensively before it ships. Bryston then backs it with the company's well-known long-term analog warranty. That promise is one it has built its reputation on for decades.
The Bi200 comes in 17-inch or 19-inch widths. Faceplates are silver or black. Trim is grooved or smooth. That range lets the Bi200 match a home theater rack. Or it can stand out as the centerpiece of a two-channel room.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Philip Beaudette reviewed the Bi200 for SoundStage! Hi-Fi on May 1, 2025. He wrote that "with its vanishingly low distortion and impossibly low noise floor, the Bi-200 presented recordings in their true colors." He praised its "crisp sonic imaging, relaxed demeanor at high volumes, and dynamic range at low volumes."
He noted that "the Bi-200 retained full control over the speakers, never sounding grating or harsh." His verdict: "As a Canadian-made, high-performing integrated amplifier that costs well under $10K and carries a long warranty, the Bi-200 is great value."
Who Is This Integrated Amplifier Best For?
- You want two respected Bryston designs in one box — the BP-19 preamp and 3B power amp, combined and balanced throughout.
- You play vinyl — the built-in MM phono stage skips the need for a separate phono preamp.
- You listen on headphones — Bryston's most powerful onboard headphone amp to date lives on the front panel.
- You want a component that lasts decades — hand-built in Canada with Bryston's long-term analog warranty.
- If you want streaming or a DAC built in, the Bi200 sticks to amplification and phono duties — one of our network streamers adds the network side.
How Does It Connect to Your System?
Connect your speakers to the binding posts and your turntable to the phono input. Five more analog sources fill the balanced XLR and single-ended RCA inputs, and headphones plug into the front panel. RS232, Ethernet, or USB ties the Bi200 into a whole-home control system when you need one.
Set the volume once, and let 200 watts per channel do the rest.
