What You Need to Know

This cable puts Cardas Clear wire between your amp and your headphones, and you get to keep the cable your headphones came with. Nothing gets rewired. Nothing goes back to the factory. Inside is the same wire Cardas uses in its best Clear cables. The copper is 99.9999% pure, and every tiny strand is coated on its own before being wound around a Kevlar core. Left and right each get their own twisted pair. Air-filled tubes hold the wires in place, and a shield wraps the whole bundle to keep noise out.

The plugs matter just as much as the wire. Cardas makes its own, machined from solid brass and plated with rhodium over silver. Rhodium is very hard and does not tarnish, so the contact stays clean for years. The metal is non-magnetic. Cardas even sells these same plugs to other cable builders. One end is a 1/4" plug and the other is a 1/4" jack, so it fits any full-size headphone cable. The soft TPR jacket stays quiet when you move it, and at 0.170" thick it hangs straight instead of curling up. Pick 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, or 4.5 meters.
