The Story Behind this Cable...

In 2003, George Cardas got a call from his daughter Angela. She was a radio announcer. She asked him a simple question: you make cables, so can't you make one for my headphones? George built her a cable for her Sennheiser HD600s. It lasted longer than her stock cable, and she liked the sound better. That one favor started the whole Cardas headphone line. Angela runs the company now. This cable is close to the design her father made for her, and it fits the same headphones.

The wire is Grade 1 copper, 99.9999% pure, with each thin strand coated on its own. Four of them are wound in a star-quad pattern, a proven way to keep hum and buzz out of a cable. A shield goes over that. The jacket is soft Alcryn rubber that stays quiet and bends easily. On the amp end is a Cardas 1/4" plug, machined from solid brass and plated with rhodium over silver. Rhodium is hard and does not tarnish, so the contact stays clean for years. On the headphone end are two-pin plugs that push in and click, just like the stock ones. Pick a length from 1.0 to 4.5 meters. Cardas builds each one by hand in Oregon, backed for life.
