Grade 1 Copper in a Shielded Star-Quad

Cardas builds Parsec Headphone around a shielded star-quad four-conductor design, the same versatile geometry behind the original Cardas headphone cable introduced in 2003. Conductors are Grade 1, 99.9999% pure oxygen-free copper with SPN clear coat, Litz construction, gauge sizes scaled to Golden Ratio proportions, insulated in a PFA jacket.

A Flexible Cable That Won't Snag

The four conductors are bound together in carbon-impregnated FEP tape and finished in a super-flexible Alcryn rubber jacket, which Cardas says slides nicely without snagging your clothing as you move. The gauge runs 4x23.5 AWG for an outside diameter of 0.204 inches, or 5.21mm.

This cable terminates in a Cardas 1/4" (6.35mm) stereo male plug at the amplifier end, and in Focal Clear MG's own headphone-end connector, matching the connector Focal builds into that specific headphone.
