This is Clearaudio's own flat drive belt, sold each, one belt per turntable. It fits the Concept, Signature, Performance DC and Ovation. Order it to replace a worn or broken belt, or to keep a spare in the drawer against the day one gives up.

A flat belt behaves differently from a round one. The wider contact patch spreads the drive across more of the pulley, and the thin section means less material to stretch — which is why Clearaudio specifies flat belts on these decks rather than round.

The belt measures 160 by 4 by 0.8 millimeters — 6.3 inches around, 0.16 inches wide and 0.03 inches thick. Those numbers are the fitment: a belt of a different length runs slack or over-tight, and either one costs you speed accuracy.

It is the OEM part from Clearaudio, made for the Concept, Signature, Performance DC and the Ovation, and for those four decks only. Clearaudio also builds a seamless silicone Silent Belt in two thicknesses for other models in the range; those are round rather than flat and are not interchangeable with this one.

How Do You Fit It?

Lift the platter off — on most decks it lifts straight up, sometimes with a sub-platter under it. Slip the old belt off the motor pulley and the sub-platter, and wipe both with a clean, dry cloth. Loop the new belt around the sub-platter, then over the pulley, keeping it flat and untwisted. Refit the platter and spin it by hand before switching on.
