Two Clarity Cone Drivers

The SONIK 5 uses two 5.25-inch bass and midrange drivers. Their Clarity Cone diaphragms combine paper and wood fiber to create a light but rigid surface. A special embossed pattern controls unwanted resonance and helps each driver move more like one solid piston.

This design gives voices and instruments a clear, natural tone. The two drivers also provide the speed and punch needed for drums, bass guitar, and movie sound effects.

SMC Essential for Lower Distortion

Each Clarity Cone driver uses DALI’s patented SMC Essential Magnet System. SMC stands for Soft Magnetic Compound. DALI places it inside the magnet system to reduce hysteresis, eddy currents, and other forms of distortion.

The result is cleaner sound through the midrange, where voices and many instruments are heard. Music stays relaxed and easy to follow, even when the performance becomes busy or loud.

Smooth Highs and Wide Dispersion

The bass-reflex cabinet uses rear-firing Dual Flare ports. Their shape helps air move smoothly in and out of the cabinet, reducing noise and keeping bass clean and well timed.

The SONIK 5 reaches down to 39 Hz, giving music satisfying weight without a large cabinet. A powered subwoofer can still add deeper impact for movies, electronic music, or larger rooms.

Easy to Match with Your Amplifier

With 88 dB sensitivity and a 6-ohm nominal impedance, the SONIK 5 works with many quality amplifiers and AV receivers. DALI recommends 30 to 150 watts per channel.

Single-wire binding posts accept banana plugs, spade connectors, or bare speaker wire. The SONIK 5 does not support bi-wiring or bi-amping.

Flexible Placement and Stable Support

DALI recommends placing the SONIK 5 about 6 to 40 inches from the wall behind it. Moving it closer to the wall can add bass, while moving it farther into the room may improve clarity and soundstage depth.

Included metal outriggers create a wider, more stable base. Use the spikes on carpet or the hemispherical rubber feet on hardwood, tile, and other hard floors.
