The Dual CS 529 combines easy, fully automatic operation with the parts and build quality expected from a serious hi-fi turntable. Place a record on the platter and press Start. The tonearm lifts, moves into place, and lowers onto the record. When the side ends, it returns to its rest and stops the platter.

You can also operate the CS 529 by hand. An Ortofon 2M Red cartridge, switchable phono preamp, and Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX HD make it easy to use with almost any audio system.

Fully Automatic or Manual—You Choose

Automatic operation protects your records and stylus. It gently places the stylus at the start of the record and lifts it when the side ends. This keeps the stylus from playing in the runout groove if you leave the room or fall asleep.

You can also lift and place the tonearm yourself. This makes it easy to start with a certain song or enjoy the hands-on feel of a manual turntable.

Bluetooth Audio and App Control

Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX HD lets the CS 529 send record sound to compatible wireless speakers, headphones, or audio systems. For the best possible sound, you can connect it to your system with a standard RCA audio cable.

You can also control the automatic functions through Dual’s compatible app. Use a smartphone or tablet to start and stop playback without touching the turntable.

The cartridge is mounted on a removable headshell. This makes future cartridge changes and service easier. Adjustable tracking force and anti-skating let the tonearm work with many other cartridges weighing from 5 to 9 grams.

Built-In Switchable Phono Preamp

The built-in switchable phono preamp gives you two ways to connect. Select Line to connect directly to powered speakers or a standard AUX input. Select Phono when using an amplifier or receiver with a phono input.

The CS 529 uses removable RCA cables. You can replace the included cable if you need a different length or want to upgrade later.

The aluminum tonearm uses a twin-gimbal bearing with four pivot ball bearings. This allows the arm to move freely and track the record groove with very little friction.

A statically balanced counterweight sets the tracking force. Adjustable anti-skating helps keep the stylus centered in the groove for stable tracking and even record wear.

Speed-Controlled Belt Drive

The belt-drive motor uses optical speed control to keep the platter turning at the correct rate. Rubber motor mounts reduce vibration, while a precision-cut belt helps lower wow and flutter.

The die-cast aluminum platter includes a heavy rubber mat for added damping. A hardened steel spindle turns inside a brass bushing for smooth, steady playback.

The CS 529 plays records at all three common speeds. The included Ortofon 2M Red stylus is made for modern microgroove records. Traditional 78 rpm records require a compatible 78 rpm stylus or cartridge, sold separately.

Designed to Control Vibration

The solid MDF plinth uses a damped subchassis to help keep outside vibration away from the platter and tonearm. Large elastomer feet add another layer of isolation between the turntable and your furniture.
