One EAT Belt That Fits Both the C-Major and the B-Sharp
This is European Audio Team's own drive belt for the EAT C-Major and B-Sharp, sold each, one belt per turntable. EAT makes it for that turntable specifically, so it is the same belt the deck left the factory with rather than a generic equivalent.
Most EAT belts serve a single turntable. This one covers two: the C-Major and the B-Sharp share the same drive geometry, so the same belt fits either. If you own both, one part number covers the pair.
The Original EAT Part, Cut for One Turntable
Fit and Materials
It fits both the EAT C-Major and the EAT B-Sharp, which share the same drive geometry. EAT cuts each of its belts to one turntable's drive geometry, so a belt from another model in the range is not a substitute even where it looks close. The part number is the fitment.
Because one belt covers two turntables here, the part is worth keeping in stock even if you only own one of them. EAT publishes no dimensions, so ordering by model name is the only reliable route — measuring an old belt that has already stretched tells you the wrong number.
Who Is This Belt Best For?
- You own an EAT C-Major — the original belt for that turntable
- You own an EAT B-Sharp — the same belt fits, so there is only one part to remember
- You own both — one spare in the drawer covers either deck
- Your belt has gone slack or shiny — speed wanders well before a belt breaks
- You own a different EAT turntable — the other models each take their own belt, listed in turntable belts
How Do You Fit It?
Lift the platter off — on most decks it lifts straight up, sometimes with a sub-platter under it. Slip the old belt off the motor pulley and the sub-platter, and wipe both with a clean, dry cloth. Loop the new belt around the sub-platter, then over the pulley, keeping it flat and untwisted. Refit the platter and spin it by hand before switching on.
Pairs Well With
What most owners replacing a belt shop next.
- Stylus force gauges — the other setting that drifts quietly over the years
- Record cleaning solutions — a new belt deserves clean records under the stylus
- Record brushes — a dry sweep before every side
- Cartridge alignment tools — worth re-checking whenever the platter comes off
Frequently Asked Questions
How many do I need?
One per turntable. If you own both a C-Major and a B-Sharp, they take the same belt, so a single spare covers either.
Which turntable does it fit?
It fits both the EAT C-Major and the EAT B-Sharp, which share the same drive geometry. A belt from another EAT model is not a substitute.
When should I replace a belt?
When speed will not settle, or the platter is slow off the mark. On a stretched belt the symptoms arrive gradually, which is why a fresh belt often surprises people who did not think anything was wrong.
