A High-Mass Turntable Built for Serious Vinyl Playback
The EAT C-Dur brings ideas from EAT’s flagship turntables into a more compact design. Its massive aluminum platter, isolated belt-drive motor, inverted main bearing, and 10-inch C-Note tonearm create a quiet and stable platform for your records.
The deep Plum High Gloss finish gives the C-Dur a rich, luxurious appearance. This version does not include a phono cartridge, allowing you to choose the moving magnet or moving coil cartridge that best matches your system and listening taste.
Massive Aluminum Platter
The 11.5-pound aluminum platter rests on a separate 2-pound aluminum sub-platter. This high-mass design helps maintain steady speed and gives the cartridge a solid surface from which to read the record groove.
The main bearing uses a polished stainless-steel spindle, ceramic ball, and Teflon bearing plate. The complete bearing block weighs nearly 4 pounds, helping reduce unwanted noise and vibration.
10-Inch EAT C-Note Tonearm
The included 10-inch C-Note tonearm combines a stiff carbon-fiber tube with a lightweight aluminum headshell. This mix of materials helps control resonance while giving the cartridge a stable path through the record groove.
Its bearing system combines the low friction of a unipivot with the stability of a traditional gimbal design. Silicone-based damping inside the arm helps control tonearm and cartridge resonance.
Vertical tracking angle, azimuth, tracking force, and anti-skating can be adjusted to match a wide range of cartridges.
Choose Your Own Cartridge
This C-Dur package does not include a cartridge. It is a strong choice for listeners who already own a favorite cartridge or want to select one that fits their phono preamp and sound preferences.
The supplied counterweight system supports cartridges weighing from 5 to 13 grams. Proper cartridge installation, alignment, tracking force, and anti-skating adjustment are required before playing a record.
Quiet Belt-Drive System
EAT places the low-noise motor inside a steel ring and isolates it from the main chassis. An anti-static polished rubber belt drives the aluminum sub-platter, helping keep motor vibration away from the record and cartridge.
The external DC power supply delivers clean power to the motor. Electronic controls on the top panel let you select 33⅓ or 45 rpm without moving the drive belt.
Heavy Plinth and Adjustable Isolation Feet
A 2-inch-thick MDF plinth provides a strong base for the platter, bearing, and tonearm. Three height-adjustable aluminum feet use TPE damping inserts to reduce vibration and make it easier to level the turntable.
Hi-Fi News Outstanding Product
Hi-Fi News named the EAT C-Dur an Outstanding Product in 2024. The review praised its refined sound, pitch stability, build quality, and ability to compete with more expensive turntables.
System Compatibility
The C-Dur does not include a cartridge or built-in phono preamp. You will need a compatible cartridge and an external phono stage. Choose an MM phono stage for a moving magnet cartridge or an MC-capable phono stage for a moving coil cartridge.
A semi-balanced 5-pin DIN-to-RCA tonearm cable is included. An optional balanced phono cable can be used with compatible balanced phono equipment.
