A Super-Flat Turntable with Serious High-End Engineering
The EAT C-Sharp is a high-end belt-drive turntable with a slim, elegant design. Beneath its low profile is a carbon-fiber and MDF sandwich subchassis, a heavy aluminum platter, advanced vibration control, and a 10-inch C-Note carbon-fiber tonearm.
The C-Sharp is available without a cartridge or with the EAT Jo No. 5 moving-coil phono cartridge. Choose the no-cartridge version if you already own a favorite cartridge. Choose the Jo No. 5 package for a carefully matched moving-coil system with a nude Fine Line stylus.
Carbon-Fiber Sandwich Subchassis
The C-Sharp starts with a high-density MDF base that supports the motor. Above it sits a separate subchassis made from layers of carbon fiber and MDF. This stiff platform supports the platter, bearing, tonearm, and cartridge.
Ten cone-shaped TPE supports separate the subchassis from the base. They absorb motor vibration and help block vibration coming through the equipment rack. This gives the cartridge a quieter surface from which to read the record groove.
Heavy, Damped Aluminum Platter
The oversized aluminum platter weighs about 14.3 pounds. Its large diameter and high mass help maintain steady rotation. TPE inserts control platter resonance so less unwanted energy reaches the record.
An oversized inverted main bearing uses a hard ceramic ball and a heavy 1.5-pound mass point. The stiff subchassis directs vibration toward this mass point, where it can be safely absorbed.
10-Inch EAT C-Note Tonearm
The 10-inch C-Note tonearm combines a stiff carbon-fiber tube with a lightweight aluminum headshell. The longer arm helps reduce tracking-angle error as the stylus moves across the record.
Its bearing system combines the low friction of a unipivot with the stability of a traditional gimbal design. Silicone-based damping inside the arm helps control tonearm and cartridge resonance.
Tracking force, anti-skating, vertical tracking angle, and azimuth can be adjusted for accurate cartridge setup.
Available with or Without the EAT Jo No. 5
With Jo No. 5: This package includes EAT’s low-output moving-coil cartridge. It uses a nude Fine Line stylus on an aluminum cantilever to retrieve fine detail from the record groove. Pure 4N copper coils and a layer-built polyamide body help deliver clear, focused, and natural sound.
Without cartridge: Choose this version if you already own a compatible cartridge or want to select one that matches your listening taste and phono preamp. The supplied counterweights support cartridges weighing from 5 to 13 grams.
Electronic Speed Control
A separate control panel provides lighted buttons for 33⅓ and 45 rpm. The microprocessor-controlled motor changes speed electronically, so there is no need to move the drive belt.
The separate panel also keeps the speed controls and their electronics away from the tonearm and cartridge.

System Compatibility
The C-Sharp does not have a built-in phono preamp. The Jo No. 5 produces a low 0.3 mV output, so the cartridge package requires a moving-coil phono preamp. EAT recommends a 20-ohm load and a tracking force of 2.3 grams.
If you purchase the C-Sharp without a cartridge, choose a phono preamp that matches the MM or MC cartridge you install.
