The EAT C-Sharp is a high-end belt-drive turntable with a slim, elegant design. Beneath its low profile is a carbon-fiber-and-MDF sandwich subchassis, a heavy aluminum platter, ten TPE damping feet, and a 10-inch C-Note carbon-fiber tonearm.

This package includes EAT's own Jo No. 5 moving-coil cartridge, factory-mounted on the C-Note tonearm. Its nude fine-line stylus is built to retrieve fine detail from the groove while keeping the sound natural, clear, and precisely imaged.

Speed changes electronically from a separate lighted control panel wired to the main chassis, keeping switching electronics away from the sensitive tonearm and cartridge signal path while you play a record.

Ten Feet of Isolation

A high-density MDF base carries the motor; above it, a separate carbon-fiber-and-MDF subchassis supports the platter, bearing, and tonearm. Ten cone-shaped TPE supports isolate that subchassis from the base, absorbing motor vibration and blocking energy coming up through the equipment rack.

An oversized inverted bearing rides a hard ceramic ball against a heavy 1.5-pound mass point, which soaks up stray vibration and turns it into heat well before it reaches the record.

The EAT Jo No. 5 Moving-Coil Cartridge

Jo No. 5 uses a nude fine-line stylus on an aluminum cantilever, wired with pure 4N copper coils, in a mint-green polyamide body built by selective laser sintering. It outputs 0.33mV into a recommended load above 20 ohms, with tracking force set to 2.4 grams (2.2–2.5 gram range).

Because Jo No. 5 is a moving-coil cartridge, it needs a phono preamp with MC gain rather than a standard MM-only stage — verify your amplifier or preamp supports it before ordering.
