The Focal Bathys is a wireless, closed-back headphone with active noise cancellation. It's Focal's first headphone to combine Bluetooth, ANC, and its own driver design in one package.

A 40mm aluminum/magnesium 'M'-shaped dome driver handles the sound. Frequency response spans 15Hz to 22kHz, with distortion under 0.2% at 1kHz.

Three ANC modes are on hand: Silent, Soft, and Transparent. Eight microphones handle both noise cancellation and voice calls.

This pair comes in Deep Black, a finish Focal added later for a more understated look. Dune, a warmer tan tone, is also available.

Three Ways to Listen, One Set of Headphones

Bluetooth 5.1 with multipoint pairing connects to two devices at once, using SBC, AAC, aptX, or aptX Adaptive codecs. Battery life reaches 30 hours over Bluetooth with ANC active.

A USB-C connection unlocks USB-DAC mode, decoding up to 24-bit/192kHz for the best sound from a computer or phone. In that mode, battery life stretches to 42 hours.

A 3.5mm cable is also included, for a fully passive connection that runs up to 35 hours on a charge. A 15-minute quick charge adds 5 more hours of listening.

At 350 grams, the Bathys has real heft. A padded headband and earcups help keep it comfortable over longer listening sessions.
