The iFi AC iPurifier 2 is an AC power filter. It plugs straight into a wall outlet or power strip, working alongside your gear rather than sitting in the signal path. It's the newer version of iFi's original AC iPurifier.

Household wiring picks up electrical noise from dimmers, appliances, and other devices on the same circuit. That noise can ride along the power line and reach your audio system.

The iPurifier 2 uses a newer version of iFi's Active Noise Cancellation circuit, based on techniques first used in radar systems. It builds an inverted signal that cancels out electrical noise, rather than just blocking it.

A new filtering capacitor improves on the original model. Built-in surge protection also helps guard your gear against sudden power spikes.

Diagnostics Built Into the Plug Itself

iFi rates the iPurifier 2 to cut measured noise by more than 40dB. That's roughly a hundredfold drop compared to standard filtering. It's also rated to handle surges up to 22,000 amps at 1,000 volts.

Diagnostic LEDs check polarity and grounding as soon as you plug the unit in. If you'd rather not see the lights while listening, you can switch them off.

You can use one iPurifier 2 on its own outlet. Or plug in several around your system for broader coverage. Each unit works on its own, so there's no wrong order to add them in.
