The Wall-Wart Is the Weak Link in Your System

Streamers, DACs, phono stages, and headphone amps almost always ship with a generic switch-mode wall-wart — the cheapest component in the box, powering the most sensitive circuits you own. Those supplies are electrically noisy by design, and that noise doesn't stay in the power supply. Four Voltages — Choose the One Your Component Requires

The iPower Elite is a fixed-voltage supply available in four versions:

• 15V — up to 3.5A. Desktop DACs, headphone amps, and mid-current components.

There is no switch or adjustment — each version outputs one voltage only. Check the label on your component or its original wall-wart, confirm the voltage and that its current draw falls within the rating above, and order the matching version.

Before You Order

Voltage must match exactly. Connecting a 24V supply to a 12V component will damage it immediately. If your component needs a voltage other than 5V, 12V, 15V, or 24V, this is not the right product.

Check the plug and polarity. The iPower Elite uses a 5.5 × 2.1mm center-positive DC barrel plug, the most common type in audio — but not universal. Verify voltage, current, connector size, and polarity before connecting.

Which version do I need?
Look at the label on your component's DC input or on the original power supply. It will list a voltage and a current rating. Will I actually hear a difference?
It depends on how noisy your existing supply is and how revealing your system is. Is this better than a linear power supply?
