A Steel Top Plate So an Aperta Stand Fits a Narrow Floor Stand

The IsoAcoustics Aperta Plates are sold as a pair, one for each stand. They give an Aperta or ISO-155 isolation stand a flat, full-size surface to sit on when the top of a floor stand, bracket or shelf is smaller than the stand's footprint.

Each plate is steel with a black powder-coat finish, 8.25 inches long, 6.85 inches wide and 0.1 inches thick. Strips of 3M double-sided tape are included to fasten the plate to the supporting surface.

Fit, Load and Materials

The plate matches the 6.1 by 7.5 inch footprint of the Aperta and the ISO-155 with a margin on each side. It adds a tenth of an inch of height. The stands' own weight ratings still apply, and IsoAcoustics advises checking that the floor stand beneath is stable enough for the stand and speaker.

How Do You Fit Them?

Clean the top of the floor stand, apply the tape strips to the underside of the plate, and press it down centered. Set the Aperta or ISO-155 on the plate, then the speaker on the stand. Nothing is drilled, and the plate can be lifted off later.

Do I need these on a wide shelf or desk?

Only when the surface under the stand is smaller than its footprint. On a desk, credenza or full-width shelf the Aperta stands directly on the surface itself.

Will they fit the Aperta200 or ISO-200?

Those larger stands take the Aperta200 Support Plates, which are 10.7 by 8.6 inches. This pair fits the Aperta and ISO-155 only.
