Kimber Kable's USB Cu is the copper USB cable in Kimber's Base Series. Its slogan is "Push Every Bit." Kimber says "metallurgy, geometry, dielectric & termination methods can vary greatly in USB cables." Its copper design, it says, beats the cable that came in the box.

Copper Conductors in High-Density Polyethylene

Kimber lists the conductor as copper and the signal insulation as high-density polyethylene. Those are the two facts it publishes for USB Cu. Kimber does not list gauges, plating or shield build for this cable, so this page does not claim them.

What Kimber Says It Is For

Kimber's claim is plain. The difference against a stock lead "is clearly audible and closer to Kimber Kable's definition of musical." The cable carries USB 2.0 audio from a computer or streamer to a DAC. It is the only Kimber USB cable we carry.
