Streaming That Suits a Mid-Century System
The LEAK TruStream is the brand's first dedicated streamer since LEAK returned in 2020. It is built to sit beside the Stereo 130 and Stereo 230 amplifiers, in the same walnut veneer over an aluminum chassis, so a modern source can join a system without looking out of place in it.
That matters more than it sounds. Most streamers are black boxes with a screen, and they fight the look of a shelf built around wood and brushed metal. This one is designed to belong there, and it is 330mm wide, so it sits alongside rather than dominating.
The Converter Behind the Wood
Conversion runs on an ESS Sabre ES9038Q2M, a 32-bit part LEAK pairs with its own low-noise supply, an ultra-low-noise Noratel toroidal transformer and a Class A filter stage after the converter. PCM plays up to 32-bit and 768kHz, and DSD reaches DSD512 over the USB input.
Every Service, and the Outputs to Match
The streaming engine comes from Silent Angel, running on an ARM Cortex processor. It is certified Roon Ready over RAAT, and it carries Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2 and TuneIn radio, with DLNA and SMB for anything kept on your own network.
More Sockets Than You Expect
Analog output is on balanced XLR at 4.1 volts and on RCA. Optical and coaxial digital outputs pass the signal to another converter, and there are two USB-A ports for audio out as well. Two more USB-A ports take a drive full of music.
A headphone amplifier is built in, with an output impedance of 2.35 ohms and a load range of 20 to 600 ohms, so most pairs will work from the front panel. A USB-C port connects a Mac or PC directly.
Networking runs over Gigabit Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi. The cabinet measures 330 by 118 by 278mm and weighs 6.5kg, and standby draw is under half a watt. A remote and a power cord come in the box.
Who Is This Network Player Best For?
- You own a LEAK system already — the walnut and aluminum match the Stereo 130 and 230 exactly, so the streamer looks like it was always meant to be there.
- You use Roon, Tidal or Qobuz — Roon Ready certification and all three Connect modes mean you keep the app you already know rather than learning another one.
- You listen on headphones too — the built-in amplifier handles 20 to 600 ohm loads, so the good pair gets used without another box on the shelf.
- You may change converters later — optical, coaxial and USB digital outputs let the TruStream work as a pure transport, so it still earns its place if the system grows.
- The TruStream is a source, not an amplifier — passive speakers need an amplifier between the two. Pair it with one of our integrated amplifiers.
How Does It Connect to Your System?
Join it to your network over Gigabit Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi and drive it from the app. A Mac or PC connects directly on USB-C, and a drive full of music plugs into either of the two USB-A storage ports.
Run balanced XLR or single-ended RCA to your amplifier. If you would rather use a converter of your own, the optical, coaxial and USB audio outputs will feed it instead. Headphones plug into the front.
Pairs Well With

Frequently Asked Questions
Which services are built in?
Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2 and TuneIn radio, plus Roon Ready, DLNA and SMB for network storage.
What resolution does it handle?
PCM up to 32-bit and 768kHz, and DSD up to DSD512 over the USB connection.
Can I use my own DAC with it?
Yes. Optical, coaxial and USB audio outputs let the TruStream act as a pure streaming transport.
Which headphones will it drive?
Anything from 20 to 600 ohms, through the built-in amplifier. Output impedance is 2.35 ohms.
Can it play music from a drive?
Yes, through either of the two USB-A storage ports, or across the network over DLNA or SMB.
What finish and size is it?
Walnut veneer over an aluminum chassis, 330 by 118 by 278mm, weighing 6.5kg.
