The Monitor Audio Radius On Wall 4G is the other answer: a real two-way loudspeaker, just 78 mm deep, built to hang beside or below your screen and get out of the way.

Monitor Audio launched the Radius Series 4G in June 2026, and the On Wall is its home cinema specialist. Each cabinet carries two 4.5-inch C-CAM RST III bass-mid drivers flanking a 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter. In-room response runs from 69 Hz to 35 kHz at −6 dB, installed sensitivity is 90 dB, and maximum peak SPL is 114 dB — the highest output figures in the range.

The cabinet measures 750 x 154 x 78 mm, about 29.5 by 6.1 by 3.1 inches, and weighs 6.4 kg. Mount it horizontally under the screen as a center channel or vertically to either side; the MA roundel logo lifts off, so the face stays clean either way. It ships singly in high gloss black or satin white.

RST III Cones, a Vented Gold Dome, and Bolts Through the Cabinet

C-CAM stands for Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium, Monitor Audio’s signature cone material. This generation adds RST III cone geometry, a ribbed surface that pushes breakup and resonance out of the range you actually hear, plus redesigned surrounds and bigger magnets. The tweeter changed more: an external magnet motor in place of the traditional internal puck magnet, a fully vented dome and former, and a UD waveguide to shape dispersion.

Dispersion matters on a TV speaker, because half your seats are off to one side. Even coverage keeps dialogue clear from the end of the sofa. The cabinet helps too. Through-bolt bracing anchors each driver to the rear panel under controlled torque, a HiVe II port is tuned to 62 Hz, and a new crossover hands off at 2.3 kHz.

How Does It Connect to Your System?

This is a passive speaker, so it needs an amplifier or AV receiver. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms, dipping to 4.4 ohms at 700 Hz.

A wall bracket and fixing template ship in the box. Run your speaker cable to the wall position first, because chasing cable afterward is the part everyone regrets. In a home theater, set your receiver crossover near 80 Hz and hand the bottom end to a subwoofer. Mount it, wire it, set the crossover, go watch something.
