The Monitor Audio SB-2 is the smallest bar in the SB line. It is just under 44 inches wide. That fits a 50 to 60-inch TV well.

Inside are three real speakers. The left, center, and right each get one 4-inch driver and one gold dome tweeter. Each channel sits in its own sealed space. That keeps them from muddying each other, so voices stay easy to follow.

The bar is passive. Your receiver powers it. There is no built-in amp to wear out, and no software making guesses for you. Better gear down the road means better sound from this same bar.

The cabinet is only 3.5 inches deep and weighs under 17 pounds. Passive bass units add weight down low without a big box. Set it on the feet in the box, or hang it with the BSB bracket, sold on its own. A subwoofer is a good idea here. Cross it over near 90Hz and let the sub do the deep work.
