The Monitor Audio SB-4 is the largest bar in the SB line. It is more than 61 inches wide. That is the right match for a 70-inch TV or bigger.

Inside are three real speakers. The left, center, and right each get two 4-inch drivers and two gold dome tweeters. No channel is short-changed here. Voices stay clear, and the sound spreads evenly across a wide room.

The bar is passive. Your receiver powers it. There is no built-in amp to wear out, and no software making guesses for you. Better gear down the road means better sound from this same bar.

The cabinet is MDF, not plastic, and it weighs 26 pounds. That weight keeps the box quiet so you hear the drivers instead. Set it on the soft feet, or hang it with the BSB bracket, sold on its own. The binding posts are recessed, so it sits flat to the wall. Add a subwoofer and cross it over near 80Hz.
