Add a High-Resolution USB Input to Your NAD
NAD's Modular Design Construction puts input circuitry on removable plug-in cards, so an amplifier bought years ago can take on capability it didn't ship with. The MDC USB DSD adds a USB Audio 2 input, handling PCM up to 24-bit/192kHz and DSD files up to DSD256.
The asynchronous USB connection bypasses your computer's DAC, clocks, and analog output stage — the usual sources of jitter and distortion in computer audio — and routes the digital signal straight to your NAD's own DAC instead. Play local files or stream from Tidal, Qobuz, or Spotify.
Before You Order
Compatible with the NAD M33, M32, M12, C 388, C 368, and C 658. DSD files are converted to 24-bit/192kHz PCM rather than played natively. Windows requires NAD's free USB audio driver; macOS 10.6 and later need no driver.
