Rivaling the renowned NuPrime Evolution One in sound quality, the Evolution STA stereo amplifier with a dual mono configuration offers a breakthrough in distortion reduction, thanks to NuPrime's exclusive 'Only Distortion Cancellation' (ODC) technology. NuPrime has been advancing Class-D amp performance over the last decade, and the innovative ODC approach takes its amplifiers to the highest level of achievement.

The Evolution STA gives your music a wide and deep soundstage with no loss of clarity at the greatest depth. The natural and pure presentation is distinguished by a clean background and Class A-like warmth. The STA offers substantial muscle for hi-fi or home theater, providing rated RMS power of 230 watts at 8 ohms and 310 watts at 4 ohms. Peak power output is 270 watts at 8 ohms and 360 watts at 4 ohms.

Bringing your favorite music to life, NuPrime's hybrid Class D technology retains the merits of both Class A and Class D amplification, for warmth, speed, and power. The high-speed 650 kHz switching frequency allows exceptional resolution to be achieved.

No-Compromise Power Supply

The power supply can make or break a power amplifier. NuPrime went all the way with the Evolution STA to support uncompromising sound quality. The custom designed iron core linear power supply has a dual routing for dual outputs, with dual wire per output, to function as two power supplies for dual-mono implementation. High quality copper PCB trace instead of the usual cables connect the power supply to the amplifier’s circuitry, maximizing power delivery.

The 550W high-power ultra-thin toroidal transformer power supply has been enhanced to deliver clean and extremely stable power with a very low noise floor. The entire power path fully supports 40A ultra-high current and low resistance terminals with dynamic current capability. The power supply filter capacitors are rated at total of 52,000uF.

Only Distortion Cancellation (ODC) Design

Delving deep under the hood, here is a quick summary of NuPrime's breakthrough Only Distortion Cancellation (ODC) Design. A typical feedback error correction design inverts the output signal for summation with the original input signal to derive the negative error signal – which adds to the next cycle of the input signal to form a more accurate output signal.

NuPrime’s ODC Class-D design has a significant advantage. It derives the error signal from MOSFET devices and the output filter circuit directly, significantly reducing the negative feedback signal. This results in a substantial reduction in distortion, with THD+N of 0.002% at 1 kHz (5W) and less than 0.005% THD+N at 1 kHz (2W-100W). This breakthrough improvement in Class-D design results in a pure and natural audio experience.
