Because the mount is shared, an OM 5E body will also accept the dearer styli in the range. Nothing about the body limits you to this rung — it simply happens to be where the OM 5E was sold.

Ortofon specifies the elliptical diamond at an 8/18 µm tip radius, with dynamic lateral compliance of 20 µm/mN, tracking ability of 60 µm at 315 Hz, and a frequency response of 20 Hz – 20 kHz within +3/–3 dB. The stylus assembly itself weighs one gram.

Tracking force runs 1.5 to 2.0 g, and Ortofon recommends 1.75 g — heavier than most of the range above it. If you are replacing like for like, that figure has not changed; if you are coming down from something else, reset the arm.
