You know what happens when the vinyl bug bites you. In no time at all, you have a sizeable collection of LPs and nowhere to put them.

Proper storage is important if you want to keep your record albums and album jackets in the best condition. Your LPs should be stored upright rather than in a vertical pile, and upright storage also makes it more convenient to flip through your collection. Additionally, the shelves need to be deep enough to protect the LP jackets from corner to corner with no album overhang.

Ultra-Strong X-Brace Support

Pangea Audio went the extra mile with the 33.5” tall Vulcan TT LP Storage Rack. The large 23.75” wide, 18” deep shelves are a secure and perfect fit for your LPs. The challenge was creating an open design that could support the weight of 200+ vinyl records on two shelves, and 200 albums weigh approximately 160 lb.

The solution was the simple yet very strong steel X-brace you see in the photo. The X-braces add strength and rigidity to the stand frame. With the X-brace, as you add weight in the form of vinyl records, the X-brace tightens, making the rack stronger and more rigid.

Heavy-Duty Top Platform

Pangea Audio included a heavy-duty top platform in case you want to use the TT LP Storage Rack for supporting your turntable. At 0.75"-thick (19mm), this shelf is 25% thicker and supports 50% more weight than standard Vulcan shelves. Measuring 23.75" wide by 18" deep, it offers plenty of strength and space for all but the largest, most expensive turntables on the market.

More Performance-Enhancing Features

Vulcan is beautifully engineered. Its design features steel support tubes connected by threaded rods, creating a super strong and ultra-rigid rack you can assemble in minutes without the need to dip into your toolbox.

At the bottom, the Vulcan TT LP Storage Rack features tapered cones and carpet-piercing spikes. This cone/spike combination rigidly holds the stand in place and prevents floor vibrations from influencing the turntable's performance. For customers with hard surface floors, the rack comes with a set of four Mini Sonic Saucers to protect the wood or tile finishes.

The top platform is rated to hold up to 90 lb., and the LP storage shelves hold up to 90 lb. each.

Extra Component Shelves and Vinyl Storage Shelves

Need an extra shelf? Thanks to the clever modular design, you may add (or subtract) additional shelves as you like. Purchase optional Pangea Audio Add-A-Shelf Kits for adding shelves for audio components. If you need additional vinyl storage, buy an optional Pangea Audio Add-On-LP-Storage Kit. Both kits are simple to install. Many customers find that adding or removing shelves is 'as easy as changing a light bulb.'

You can create any combination of regular and LP-Storage shelves that you like. However, we do not recommend combinations that are more than 42" tall.
