An Electrifying Tribute to Rock ’n’ Roll
The Pro-Ject AC/DC Limited Edition Turntable transforms one of rock music’s most recognizable symbols into a serious high-fidelity record player. Its lightning-bolt plinth is constructed from 28mm MDF and paired with a matching transparent acrylic tonearm. Red LED illumination beneath the acrylic sub-platter completes a design that looks ready to take the stage.
Audiophile Engineering Beneath the Artwork
This is far more than a collectible display piece. A heavy 10mm glass platter provides a stable, low-resonance platform for your records, while the precision acrylic sub-platter rotates on a stainless-steel axle seated in a brass bushing. The belt-drive system helps isolate the platter from motor vibration, and electronic speed selection makes switching between 33 and 45 rpm quick and convenient.
Ready to Play with an Ortofon 2M Red
The unique 8.6-inch acrylic tonearm features spring-based anti-skating and arrives with an Ortofon 2M Red moving-magnet cartridge pre-adjusted at the factory. Known for its lively, detailed presentation, the 2M Red is an excellent match for rock records while remaining versatile enough for the rest of your collection.
Is This Turntable Right for You?
- Choose it if: You want an officially licensed AC/DC centerpiece that is also engineered as a genuine hi-fi turntable.
- Choose it if: You prefer the convenience of a factory-installed cartridge and electronic 33/45 rpm speed selection.
- Choose it if: You value distinctive European craftsmanship, premium materials and upgradeable analog playback.
- Keep in mind: This is a manual turntable without a built-in phono preamp. Your amplifier needs an MM phono input, or you will need a separate phono preamplifier.
- Keep in mind: A dust cover is not included. Pro-Ject offers a compatible Cover it Artist Collection dust cover separately.
Setup and System Matching
The Ortofon 2M Red cartridge is pre-adjusted, but the tonearm counterweight and anti-skating system must be installed and set correctly during initial setup. Position the turntable on a rigid, level surface and adjust its three spike feet as needed.
Connect the included Connect it Phono E RCA cable to an MM phono input or external phono preamp. The yellow-marked end of the semi-symmetrical cable should be connected to the receiving component.
