This is Pro-Ject's Connect it Phono S, sold each: a 1.23-meter balanced phono cable with mini XLR at both ends. It sits above the Phono E in the range, with flexible oxygen-free copper conductors and a lower capacitance.

What comes off a moving coil cartridge is already balanced: two coils, no reference to ground. It stays that way through the arm and as far as the junction box. Whether it stays balanced beyond that point is decided entirely by the cable you plug in there.

1.23 meters, mini XLR to mini XLR. It suits a Pro-Ject True Balanced turntable connected to a True Balanced phono stage — an X1 B or X2 B into a Phono Box S3 B or DS3 B. Any pair with matching mini XLR jacks works.

Phono S uses flexible oxygen-free copper conductors with gold-plated phosphor-bronze connectors, and a capacitance of 100 pF. Phosphor bronze is a springier contact material than brass, which matters on a connector that gets plugged and unplugged.

Unbalanced connections exist for manufacturing reasons rather than sonic ones. They arrived when home equipment needed to get cheaper, and they have been the default ever since — which is not the same as being the better choice for a phono signal.
