Small, Shielded, and Efficient

The metal case shields the electronics from vibration and electromagnetic interference, and at just 4 inches square it stashes easily right next to your turntable. A 'green' outboard DC power supply draws less than one watt in standby. Available in black or silver.

Do I need a phono preamp?

Yes, if your amp or receiver has no dedicated phono input and your turntable has no built-in preamp. A cartridge's tiny signal needs both amplification and RIAA equalization before a line-level input can use it—the Phono Box DC provides both.

Which cartridges does it work with?

Virtually all of them. The rear-panel switch sets the correct gain and loading for standard moving magnet cartridges (including those on most Pro-Ject, Music Hall, and Dual turntables) as well as low-output moving coil designs. Ask us about your specific cartridge.

Can I upgrade the power supply?
