A 23-Pound Magnetically Supported Platter

The massive 10.4kg aluminum platter is precision-cut from a single piece of metal and internally damped with thermoplastic elastomer. A bonded vinyl playing surface provides a record-friendly interface while helping control resonance without requiring a separate platter mat.

The inverted main bearing uses a ceramic ball and plate, while magnetic suspension supports much of the platter’s weight. Reducing the physical load on the bearing helps the platter rotate smoothly and quietly while minimizing mechanical wear.
