Enjoy Better Vinyl Sound with Easy System Setup
The Pro-Ject T1 EVO Phono Turntable makes it easy to add high-quality vinyl playback to your audio system. Its built-in phono preamp lets you connect it directly to an amplifier, receiver, or powered speakers with a standard line-level input. You can also switch off the internal phono stage when using a separate phono preamp or an amplifier with its own moving-magnet phono input.
A pre-mounted Ortofon OM10e cartridge, heavy glass platter, precision bearing, and one-piece aluminum tonearm provide a strong base for clear and enjoyable record playback. Electronic speed control also makes it easy to switch between 33 and 45 rpm records.
Connect to a Phono Input or Standard Audio Input
The switchable output gives you two ways to connect the T1 EVO Phono. Select phono output when using an amplifier with an MM phono input or a separate phono preamp. Select line output to use the turntable’s built-in phono stage with a standard AUX, CD, or other line-level input.
This flexibility also lets you connect the turntable directly to powered speakers with an analog RCA input. The T1 EVO Phono does not include Bluetooth or a USB output.
Start Listening with an Ortofon OM10e Cartridge
The included Ortofon OM10e moving-magnet cartridge uses an elliptical stylus to follow the record groove. Pro-Ject mounts the cartridge and adjusts its tracking force at the factory. This removes two of the more technical steps from the initial setup. The stylus can also be replaced when it eventually wears.
Keep Records Stable on a Heavy Glass Platter
The 8mm blasted-glass platter provides a flat and stable surface for your records. Beneath it, a redesigned subplatter and precision main bearing help the platter rotate smoothly. The hardened stainless-steel bearing shaft turns inside a brass bushing made to very close tolerances.
The solid, CNC-machined plinth has no hollow spaces and avoids unnecessary plastic parts. Vibration-absorbing feet help separate the turntable from the shelf or furniture supporting it.
Track the Groove with a One-Piece Aluminum Tonearm
Pro-Ject’s 8.6-inch aluminum tonearm uses an integrated headshell and low-friction bearings. Its one-piece construction creates a firm path between the cartridge and tonearm bearings. The headshell is not removable, so the design is not intended for quick cartridge changes.
Is the Pro-Ject T1 EVO Phono Right for You?
- Easy system matching: The switchable phono preamp works with both phono inputs and standard line-level inputs.
- Ideal for powered speakers: Use the line-level output to connect directly to powered speakers with an analog RCA input.
- Mostly factory-adjusted: The cartridge comes mounted and its tracking force is preset, but basic unpacking and assembly are still required.
- Easy speed changes: Electronic control lets you play 33 and 45 rpm records without moving the drive belt.
- Manual operation: You lower the stylus at the start of a record and return the tonearm when playback ends.
Setup, Compatibility & What’s Included
For a standard line-level input, switch on the turntable’s built-in phono preamp and connect the supplied RCA cable to an AUX, CD, or similar analog input. Do not connect the line-level output to a phono input.
When using an MM phono input or separate phono preamp, switch the T1 EVO Phono to its phono-level output. This bypasses the built-in phono stage and lets the external component handle the cartridge signal.
The package includes the turntable, pre-mounted Ortofon OM10e cartridge, 8mm glass platter, felt record mat, adjustable dustcover, phono/line RCA cable, and power supply. Amplification and speakers are sold separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a separate phono preamp?
No. The T1 EVO Phono has a built-in phono preamp. You can still bypass it if your amplifier has an MM phono input or you prefer to use a separate phono stage.
Can I connect it directly to powered speakers?
Yes. Switch the turntable to line-level output and connect it to powered speakers with a compatible analog RCA input.
Does the T1 EVO Phono include Bluetooth?
No. This model uses a wired RCA connection. Choose the T1 EVO BT if you need a built-in Bluetooth transmitter.
Is the Ortofon cartridge already installed?
Yes. The Ortofon OM10e cartridge is mounted and adjusted at the factory. You will still need to complete the basic assembly steps in the supplied instructions.
Does the tonearm return automatically?
