Enjoy Better Vinyl Playback Without a Complicated Setup
The Pro-Ject T1 EVO Turntable gives music lovers a simple way to build a high-quality vinyl system. Its manual belt-drive design combines carefully chosen parts with factory-adjusted settings, making it a smart step up from basic record players.
A pre-mounted Ortofon OM10e cartridge, heavy glass platter, precision bearing, and one-piece aluminum tonearm work together to retrieve the music stored in your records. Electronic speed control also lets you switch between 33 and 45 rpm at the touch of a control.
Start Listening with an Ortofon OM10e Cartridge
The included Ortofon OM10e moving-magnet cartridge uses an elliptical stylus to follow the record groove. Pro-Ject mounts the cartridge and adjusts its tracking force at the factory, removing two of the more technical steps from initial setup. The stylus can also be replaced when it eventually wears.
Keep Records Stable on a Heavy Glass Platter
The 8mm blasted-glass platter provides a flat, stable surface for your records. Beneath it, a belt-driven subplatter and stainless-steel main-bearing shaft help the platter rotate smoothly. The solid CNC-machined plinth avoids hollow spaces and unnecessary plastic parts that could weaken the turntable’s foundation.
Track the Groove with a One-Piece Aluminum Tonearm
Pro-Ject’s 8.6-inch aluminum tonearm uses an integrated headshell and low-friction bearings. Its one-piece construction creates a firm path between the cartridge and tonearm bearings. The design is straightforward to operate, although the headshell is not removable for quick cartridge changes.
Is the Pro-Ject T1 EVO Turntable Right for You?
- Best for a component audio system: Choose it when you want a dedicated turntable to use with a separate amplifier and speakers.
- Easy speed changes: Electronic control lets you play 33 and 45 rpm records without moving the belt by hand.
- Mostly factory-adjusted: The cartridge comes mounted and its tracking force is preset, but some basic assembly is still required.
- Phono stage required: This standard T1 EVO does not include a phono preamp, Bluetooth, USB output, amplification, or speakers.
- Manual operation: You place the stylus on the record and return the tonearm when playback ends.
Setup, Compatibility & What’s Included
Connect the supplied Pro-Ject Connect it Phono E cable to an amplifier or receiver with a moving-magnet phono input. If your system only has a standard line-level input, add an external phono preamp between the turntable and amplifier. Powered speakers can also be used when a suitable phono preamp is placed in the signal path.
The package includes the turntable, pre-mounted Ortofon OM10e cartridge, 8mm glass platter, felt record mat, removable dustcover, phono cable, and power supply. An amplifier or receiver, phono preamp when needed, and speakers are sold separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Pro-Ject T1 EVO have a built-in phono preamp?
No. Connect it to an MM phono input or use a separate phono preamp. The T1 EVO Phono and T1 EVO BT are different models with additional electronics.
Can I connect it directly to powered speakers?
Only if the speakers have a compatible phono input. Otherwise, place an external MM phono preamp between the turntable and powered speakers.
Is the cartridge already installed?
Yes. The Ortofon OM10e cartridge is mounted and adjusted at the factory. You will still need to complete the basic unpacking and assembly steps in the supplied instructions.
Does the tonearm return automatically?
No. The T1 EVO is fully manual, so you lower the stylus at the start of a record and return the tonearm after playback.
