Rega Replay Belt-Drive Turntable
The Rega Replay is a manual belt-drive turntable and the new entry point to Rega's turntable range, sitting below the Planar 1. It arrives with Rega's RB110 tonearm and a factory-fitted, pre-aligned Carbon moving magnet cartridge.
Rega spent three years developing the Replay, and it is handmade in England. Rega says it can be set up and playing in under one minute, with no tonearm balancing.
Skeletal, Low-Mass Plinth
The Replay's rigid, low-mass skeletal plinth draws on the approach of Rega's Planar 8, Planar 10 and Naia. It is laminated around a black MDF core. The whole turntable weighs just 2.2kg.
RB110 Tonearm and Carbon Cartridge
The RB110 tonearm uses Rega's patented ultra-low friction bearings, and its bias is set at the factory. A 111g "plug and play" balance weight simply pushes onto the back of the arm. The Carbon cartridge comes fitted and aligned, and its stylus is replaceable.
Platter, Bearing and Motor
A 23mm phenolic resin platter adds mass for a flywheel effect and steadier speed. It turns on a brass main bearing, driven by Rega's EBLT belt and a 24V low-noise synchronous motor module. Newly designed feet help reduce vibration.
How the Replay Fits Your System
The Replay's tonearm ends in a phono RCA cable, with the ground carried inside the left channel. It needs an amplifier with a phono input, or a separate phono preamplifier. It plays 33 1/3 and 45 RPM records.
What it will not do: it has no built-in phono stage, USB output or Bluetooth. It is fully manual, so you cue the arm and change speed by hand. Rega says to use only the supplied PS2 power supply.
Who Is This Turntable Best For?
- First-time turntable owners — The cartridge comes fitted and aligned, and the bias is set at the factory.
- Owners upgrading from a basic record player — Rega's RB110 tonearm and Carbon cartridge, shared with the Planar 1.
- Systems with a phono input or phono stage — A standard phono RCA connection works with your existing amplifier.
- Listeners who want room to grow — The Carbon stylus can be replaced or upgraded to a Carbon Pro.
- Not for plug-and-play speakers without a phono stage — The Replay needs a phono input; it has no built-in preamp, USB or Bluetooth.
How Does It Connect to Your System?
- Unbox the Replay and remove the packing card from beneath the sub-platter.
- Push the balance weight onto the rear of the tonearm until it reaches the stop point.
- Connect the PS2 power supply to the rear of the turntable.
- Connect the phono cable to your amplifier's phono input or to a phono stage.
- Remove the stylus guard, place a record on the mat, switch on and cue the tonearm with the lift/lower lever.
- For 45 RPM, remove the mat and platter and move the drive belt by hand to the 45 RPM position.

Do I need to balance the tonearm or set bias?
