REL Acoustics PL-2 Grille for Planar 2 Subwoofers - Piano Black

REL Premium Wood Grille for Planar PL-2

This is REL's optional Premium Wood Grille for the Planar PL-2 on-wall subwoofer. It replaces the cloth grille that comes with the PL-2. This version is made for the Piano Black PL-2, and the subwoofer is not included.

REL makes the grille from real wood veneers, finished to suit modern interiors. Because it is natural wood, grain and color vary from one grille to the next.

Turns the Subwoofer Into a Design Piece

The PL-2 comes standard with a cloth grille. The wood grille is REL's upgrade for owners who want the subwoofer to add warmth and texture to the room, not just blend in.

Designed Around the Bass

REL's engineers designed these grilles to shield the drivers while preserving the brand's sonic transparency. You keep the same powerful, articulate bass with a more refined look.

How the Grille Fits Your System

This grille fits the REL Planar PL-2 only. It will not fit the smaller Planar PL-1, which needs its own grille. REL also makes separate wood grilles for the S/850, S/550 and 212 Black Label.

REL offers PL-2 wood grilles to match both Piano Black and Gloss White subwoofers. Choose the version that matches your PL-2.

Who Is This Speaker Accessory Best For?

• PL-2 owners who want warmth — real wood veneer adds texture to the room.
• Design-focused rooms — make the subwoofer a visible statement instead of hiding it.
• Piano Black PL-2 owners — this version is made for the Piano Black subwoofer.
• Stereo pair owners — order one grille for each PL-2.
• Not for — PL-1 owners; the grille fits the PL-2 only.

How Does It Connect to Your System?

• REL's manual has you remove the grille before wall mounting and install it as the final step.
• Using a Planar Cart? Install the grille before bolting the PL-2 to the cart. REL notes it cannot be fitted afterward.
• Keep the included cloth grille somewhere clean in case you want to change the look later.
• Offered for Piano Black and Gloss White PL-2 subwoofers; this listing is for Piano Black.
