The S2-4 is one of Solidsteel's most affordable component racks, but the features are anything but entry level.

The S2-4 boasts rigid 0.86"-thick MDF shelves and new, non-welded aluminum tubular supports. Aluminum is lighter than steel, ridiculously strong, non-magnetic, and an excellent damping material. By eliminating welding from the equation, S2 racks eliminate resonances that develop in hollow welded posts. Unwanted energy and vibrations cannot seep into your rack.

The aluminum tubular supports also provide improved weight handling, and greater stability. Since the shelves cannot resonate the supports, enhanced isolation for each component. In addition, the S2 Series' massive shelf design further keep resonance to a minimum.

Supports a System's Worth of Components

The S2-4 holds a system's worth of components. Each shelf supports up to 110 lb. The S2-4's outer dimensions are 32.6" high, 23" wide, and 16.9" deep. The top platform has a usable width of 23" and usable depth of 16.9". The usable shelf width of shelves #2, #3, and #4 is 19.7" with a usable depth of 16.9". The usable height between shelves is 8.6". The assembled rack weighs 50 lb.
