Hollow Cantilever Reduces Moving Mass

The Olympia mounts its elliptical diamond stylus on a hollow aluminum pipe cantilever paired with a smaller, lighter magnet. Reducing mass at the business end of a cartridge lets the stylus respond more quickly and follow the groove more faithfully.
