The VPI Lifter is a tonearm cueing device, sold each, made by VPI for VPI turntables. It sits under the tonearm and raises or lowers it on a lever, so the stylus never has to be placed or lifted by hand. The cueing arm is 1 inch long and the padded lifter that contacts the tonearm measures 1 7/16 inches.

How Do You Fit It?

Place the device on the plinth beneath the tonearm so the padded lifter sits under the arm tube with the arm at rest. Check through a full sweep that the arm clears it everywhere except where you want it lifted. Move the cueing arm to raise and lower the tonearm.
