The Woo Audio WA5-LE is a two-piece, all-tube headphone amplifier built around the famous 300B power tube. It is made for listeners who want a rich, open, and lifelike headphone experience.

The WA5-LE is a dedicated headphone amplifier. Unlike the full WA5, it does not power speakers. Its aluminum chassis is available in Black or Silver.

The Special Sound of 300B Tubes

The single-ended Class A design keeps the signal path simple. Two 300B power tubes help voices sound natural, give instruments room to breathe, and bring a smooth sense of flow to music.

An All-Tube Signal Path

The WA5-LE uses two 6SN7 driver tubes, two 300B power tubes, and two 5U4G rectifier tubes. Point-to-point wiring and transformer-coupled outputs follow a classic, carefully built approach.

Match the Amp to Your Headphones

Front-panel switches let you choose high or low power, impedance, and output level. These settings help the WA5-LE work well with many sensitive, standard, and harder-to-drive headphones.

Balanced and Standard Headphone Outputs

Use the front 4-pin XLR output with a compatible balanced headphone cable. A 1/4-inch output is also included for standard headphone plugs. Both outputs can supply up to 8 watts in high-power mode.

Two Chassis Keep Power Noise Away

The amplifier and power supply sit in separate full-size chassis. This keeps much of the power hardware away from the audio circuit and gives each section room to work.

Building Your System

Connect a DAC, phono preamp, or other source to the WA5-LE with RCA or XLR cables. The amplifier has no built-in DAC or streamer, so digital music needs an outside source component.

Place both chassis on strong, open shelves. The tubes become hot and need space above and around them. Woo Audio includes the six operating tubes and the cable that joins the two chassis.
